Respect for the environment remains one of the primary areas of development, with the goal of

complying fully with legal repuirements in the matter of gaseous and noise emissions. Sensitivity to

the problems of the environment is a distinctive element of the development of FPT/IVECO engines

in all their applications,the increasingly stringent standards for Diesel engine emissions have not been

interpreted as limitation, but as a challenge to continuous improvement, thus turning them into a

competitive advantage. To give one example,the entire FPT range achieves its performance and

complies with the gaseous emissions standards without the addition of an external EGR. The

development of a range that complies with current laws in both the USA and in Europe has resulted

in product differentiation according to each market.
