Emotion to the engine
IVECO Company created new generator family based on the past nearly 100 years of tradition and continuous research and development of new product. The new generators get good market effect. To meet increasingly higher environmental standards, the original products have been improved in performance. IVECO Company adopts the latest fuel supply system - common-rail injection which was developed by Fait research and development center and mass manufactured by Bosch Corporation. The design method of the generator was fundamentally changed. It is clear that in whole new family of engines, engine of 1 liter/cylinder is designed to meet current and future emission standard of harmful gas. Not a few companies can match IVECO Company in the field of engines. Cooperation is for the success, so IVECO Company, New Holland and Cummins companies led to the European Engine Alliance. The co-design and production of the three major companies lead to the product innovation and cost saving, so that the customers receive the overall efficiency. The new engine family consists of three, four and six cylinders diesel engines, which adopt the overall electronic control, and compensate for the fault of the fuel injection system of traditional engine.

CURSOR engine, meets to the new standards of performance

IVECO business center adopts CURSOR 8 and 10 engines which can satisfy many standards in the power range of 180 to 316 KW. As the result of continuous research and development, it is not need to add any additional components and parts on the original driving force chain. In addition, the new engines are installed by the fundamental and effective way on the other line, so with less emission for the most large and most effective power. In every cylinder of the linear six-cylinder engines, there are 4 valve rocker arms and 4 camshafts installed on the top of engine. The compact crankcase led to one new kind of engine with firm structure. The technology of being tangent with edge is firstly utilized in the engine, which is the most important advantage in performance and utility. The electronically controlled turbine compressor with different geometric shape can achieve high power and high torque in the range of rotation speed, and can also get perfect power performance and decrease fuel cost rate, so can reduce operating cost and maintenance frequency. The CURSOR engine of IVECO Corporation contributes more in environmental protection. The production of smoke and noise is large reduced according to the current record. The design specification of the engine reaches the various limits of future standards. So CURSOR engines are utilized by most customers, and are referenced for the design of diesel engine.

Several purposes of design
In the power range of 35 to 202 kW, the configuration of engine of 3, 4 and 6 cylinders can be selected without dimension. A number of design solution – 2 or 4 air valves on each cylinder, naturally aspirated engine, turbocharged engine, with or without rear cooler in the compressor, the best technical solution for the demand of customer. The above technology can ensure most efficient performance and the largest torque in low rotation speed, and reduce operational cost.

Diverse engine customization
The new engine family creates many fine selective combinations of application, allowing a variety of installation methods - load - the bearing crankshaft in the farm machinery – the oil groove with different depth and width of SAE1, SAE2, SAE3 to ensure the slope for the oil supply, flywheel shell, the optional pipeline for gas inlet and oil supply, and wide range of spare parts.

Electronically controlled engine provides an unrestricted customization possibility. In particular demand, the potential power of engine can be increased, and controller can contact interface of other parts of the system. So the new engine family is a flexible solution for the unknown operation condition, and ensures the overall security.

High-performance and low fuel combustion
Design of the engine satisfy the superior technical standards, coupled with the latest processing technology and assembly procedure, the new balance between the performance and best fuel consumption realizes. A new standard is adopted to define combustion state, measuring the fuel injection amount and injection time, controlling supercharger with exhaust gas to ensure the best power output efficiency.

In wide range of engine rotation speed the above factors reach the maximum torque level, the most improvements of fuel-efficient, production process of the most new engines and engine components and parts, perfect combustion and filtering, cooling treatment, the lowest oil consumption, and so on.

˙Structure:
A high level of design technology coupled with the latest machining process, assembly and treatment methods can create balance between perfect performance and the lowest fuel consumption. A new specification is used to define fuel amount and the best fuel injection time, to decide the constant of combustion state, and to provide guideline of high torque on some rotation speed. The above characteristics are strengthened by the ways of adopting electrically controlled turbine with various geometrical shapes. So we reach the purpose of low lost of energy, and the truly low cost operation.
The following factors ensure the lowest oil consumption: the latest engine model and engine part manufacturing procedures, clean combustion and perfect filtration and cooling treatment.

Innovative Force
Electronically controlled turbine compressor with different geometric shapes, correctly operating air pressure produced by turbine by VGT, is derived from the engine speed. Adjustment of inlet air space of turbine allows a certain change of torque and power in the range of engine rotation speed.

˙Fuel supply:
A new generation of Manifold attached to the cylinder head can provide the best of air exchange, and also produce swirl which is good for the new injection system. The best injector assembly is vertically installed, and can supply fuel in the center of combustion chamber.
Common rail technology is one new method for the diesel injection, which was developed by Fait financial group and has high injection pressure of 1600 bar. So the technology is the best combustion process.

Control:
Injection Control: electronic controllers can ensure maximum flexibility of fuel injection controlling, the injected fuel based on the information collected by various sensors installed on the engine.
Control of operation state: operation state is determined by monitored fuel injection, and the system can check the efficiency of the whole engine including separately controlling each cylinder, and compensating for the milled lost in some time.

Absolutely reliable for time

There are millions of IVECO engine driving on roads, which provide a rich background experience, and originally derive from the new CURSOR engine design.

If the engine is completely re-designed that any form of design agreement must avoid the bad factors which adversely affect reliability and long service life. Target: the environment protection

The environment is the wealth of the public, so IVECO Company promises that protecting the environment in the development of new engines and products, and considering the effect of gas nature and noise spread will be the highest principle in the design of the engine.
An environmentally friendly engine has an ability of flexible fuel injection control, and ability of constant supply of air to achieve the best combustion process, the best combustion efficiency, and to keep engine clean.

Considering the environmental norms, in the future the engine will no longer be added with any devices such as EGR, exhaust after treatment systems, complete combustion processes. Thus in addition to reducing emission of hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides and suspended material to a minimum, it also reduced the fuel consumption and the greenhouse effect.

Reducing the noise begins from the design of hard engine. Gas-tight rubber pad is used to prevent vibration at startup of engine. And the operation of fuel injection reduces the vibration led by running of diesel engine during combustion.
